2016 marked my 3rd warm Christmas in a row, after being in California in 2014, New Zealand in 2015 and now Australia in 2016.
I can’t think of a better way to spend a birthday than a bit of cycling, cake, friends, bubbles, boardgames, a good dinner and a beautiful cabin in the woods.

We stopped over in Bangkok to break up the Sydney – London journey, and to see my one of my oldest friends, Roseanna, who now lives there.
This August was my first trip back to the UK since leaving at the start of November 2014. I wouldn’t exactly call it a ‘holiday’, but it was absolutely fantastic to catch up with family and friends.
The ‘sunshine state’ of QLD was not especially sunny for my visit last weekend.
A friend said to me the other day “I’m sure you have a job but you seem to permanently be on holiday”. The secret is efficient use of public holidays!
