Ad Deir, The Monastery, Petra. Like the Treasury this is carved out of a solid rock face ⛰⚒💪🏻 I’ve just published a blog post of my top tips for visiting Petra - link in bio. Looking through the pictures makes me want to be back there, absolutely wonderful experience! 🥰

There are two spots in Petra where you can get a view of the Treasury from above🕵🏼‍♀️ We opted for the longer, self-guided walk up behind the Royal Tombs to this Bedouin tent perched high on the rocks where we had a delicious mint tea 🌱 and enjoyed the view and the morning sun slowly working its way down the building☀️

Wow. What a day at Petra 😍 This photo is the Treasury in afternoon light. The Treasury is the first building you come to after the walk through the winding Siq rock passageway, and it’s carved into the rock face which has meant it’s survived earthquakes and erosion, but it’s really only the tip of the iceberg of the amazing history and ruins around the sprawling ancient city!
